* Assault is the biggest crap mod ever made in the history of online and offline gaming.
* Assault is only unskilled spamming.
* most ION players will never get far in any other mod of UT, cause they miss the basic skills of it (look at their movement?)
* Assault is laggy as hell when i'm on my normal ISDN line.
* When you move to a 200MBIT connection, make sure you've some time to get used to your l33t ping, cause otherwise you're even more useless than on an ISDN line.

Ramp, what scorp posted is completely true.... AS is a very skillless game, i only had to stop playing it as my main part of UT to realise that, and yes some ION players do/did play in top iCTF clans, but thats only 2 (and warchild who has never played a match anyway ), the rest of the ION peeps are pretty much bog standard AS players (k so ramp is not bad either).

Frost/apoc/mael/ace and others i cant remember all move like n00bs and mael lags like stylefish(mi5)..... havent seen ppl have a go at him tho

And this thread isnt about why we lost, frankly we dont give a shit, well i dont anyway. Its cos ION are saying that we deliberately pushed the match back so our ppl could play, which quite simply is bollox. I went to the cinema for my friend's birthday, didnt rush home... got back around 10:10, phil icqs me and says that the match hasnt been played, so i joined RW and agreed to play. I was expecting to come home to some flames from Gazzy saying how he single handedly owned all NRG players . Again spirit wanted to go out, but stayed cos we only had 5 players... i think its pretty obvious we didnt give a shit about the game, esp since we didnt even have tactics.

Anyways ION has their #1 spot back which they were so desperate to get (by playing on a saturday night - saaaaaad).

Last thing: if you refuse our server, force us to play on a saturday (yes forced, ed was refused any of our dates, and afaik all of yours were saturdays, hes not on to confirm that but i doubt he was in the mood to argue about it, not really like him in arranging matches)

Now, by refusing our server, id say we have every right to refuse your server, meaning we would have to play on either another clan's server or on the league servers... i dunno who, but it was meant to be played on SUYM's... next you didnt give Suic the maplist (i dunno why) so he couldnt have set it up, now it being a saturday (ION's choice) he has every right to go out after 8pm... so you cant expect him to stick around after 8pm for ION to give a maplist. The next 2 hours of waiting was due to server cockups, etc ... i dunno all the details

Basically it all comes back to it being a saturday night, had it been a sunday i expect suic wouldnt have wanted to go out, or we would have been able to sort a different server quickly.... but hey you chose the saturday... so quit fuckin whining about waiting... if youre sacrificing your saturday for UT - tough fuckin shit, was your choice... now you got your #1 spot well done you rule.. blah blah go jerk off instead of bitching about waiting

I didnt realise that Frost, however it doesn't change anything you're all just guessing at what MAY have happened.

It got to about 8.45 and I asked phear what the likely hood of the match happening was, and he said he wasnt sure and not to wait around any longer. I said fine, I'll head on out, good luck if you do play, and I didnt speak to him again after that.

I then phone one of the guys I was supposed to be meeting up with and he said he would head over to my flat. It got to 9.30 and he hadnt turned up (he had a 30 minute journey to get here), so I was browsing the forums whilst waiting, put a last reply, then he turned up and we went out.

So there you go, now you have a full desription of what I did you can stop making guesses that show things in your favour, and insulting phear due to assumptions you've made with no evidence. As far as phil was concerned I had gone out, he had no was of knowing I was waiting for my lift to turn up. Grow up fs.

About Rampage i won't say a word, ppl know how i think about him.
And Gazzy (you're not able to read this anymore maybee though?) :
You think you're skilled, but you really miss skills.
You're movement is as bad as Ace's movement, you aint got a aim totally, you got a good ping and try to hit shit.
For the rest you just seach the rocket launcher in every map and load 6 rockets and try to hit with all the luck you have. I wouldn't even wonder if you just hold down fire button all the time if you snipe, and just hope you hit some1


So the ION skills prove that even n00bs can be on top of this leauge. And that's the fact that i see as "wrong" in Assault.

IMO UT is about skill, not about this shit like Assault.

Anyway i'm 100% TDM concentrated from now on, hf in Assault peeps.

Yous (both teams) couldnt get a server.
ION didnt want to wait as a time had already been agreed.
ION offer to play on ANOTHER server to get the game going.
NRG refuse (bearing in mind theyd already wanted to stall to get more players)
NRG refuse as one of their players is away out for a few beers (or whatever)

Picture the scene next Tuesday.

Seems to me that NRG were using the server as an excuse to stall a game that they knew about for a week (could be wrong here though) and werent happy when ION called their bluff.

As has been previously said ION seem to get a bit of abuse just because they are the top team. (Not saying they are perfect gentlemen by any means) But if they had pulled that stunt they would be getting slated by everyone else.
