Assault movies

You can do a real HD and use bazillion of effects and transitions if you want but it will be worth nothing if content will be shitty. For me personally quality isn't that important but content. Fraps isn't that bad.

Totally agree with Brajan, maybe cause i dont have time nore can do any good quality movies. Content is most important yes and fraps is good enough if u got a good gfx.

Joko and peacemaker it is easier to put people down then to actually do something urself - I would have liked to have the movie done as well like 4 months ago but that has simply been impossible.

LMFAO how many cliches can you fit in one post. I love it when people that "make" movies say "well why don't you try doing it yourself", they think it's some kind of ultimate comeback that no one could reply to, as if it's difficult to open Adobe Prem and stick some bmps together. Also tbh I don't care about your real life, ur a gobby tart that was flaming the entire community for not sending them all their demos a year ago, then some people like Supermic send you demos and we see nothing, not even a teaser trailer. If you don't have time for it then don't spout off so much crap about how it's gonna be the best movie ever. I can't help it if you can't plan your "real life" well enough to give you some free time.

I mean seriously, it's getting good shots that takes the time which you aren't even doing. You can put together a half decent movie (or at least the quality of some other UTA ones) in a matter of days. You don't even have to edit it that well or put any thought into timing, just get some mid-air headshots and put a hardcore trance background to it and most people will love it.

Finally, I have made movies in the past using MY OWN demos and it didn't take me 2 years to do it. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of them anymore, but Rookie might.
 
few comments:

- proudly announcing an ut movie and then wait longer than a year is gay imho :P
- high quality with effects (like masterrrs) are very nice to see, for me at least..
- but if theres lots of content its ok to go for lower quality to bring all the good shit, esp when those are scenes of supermic :)
- i guess there are quite a few people like joko who made a (maybe little) movie - it would be nice to see those uploaded! id love to see duncs movie - can u upload it plz rookie? or whoever has it? :)
 
Yeah fraps is good enuff, movieunreal is way toooooo slow

the best DJ movie is the 1st one, the 3rd one has nice frags but the transition camera is a bit annoying :P and in all 3 movies the music just rocks but dj u forgot to put your 2v2 launch movie = funny content but awesome trance = IIO - smooth :cool:

the best ut community movie is the 2nd one :cool:

timmah movie is also good

theses 3 movies would be include in the top 4 "best assault movie", can u guess the fourth 1 ;);)
 
ive got some demos and gonna start on 4th movie within 3 weeks on my vacation. 3 weeks off. But it wont be class trust me. GOnna use Fraps so quality might be crap but the Music will rock for sure. Takes like 6 hours making a movie that way. Hard part is to choose which tunes should be included. =) Perhaps in a month or so if i got time. ANd no transition will be used next time

Vacation soon = Party beach holiday alcohol ladies. = less UT
 
Leaving for china tomorrow. Girlfriend wil be working so I might start making my movie at last. If Im bored enough that is :P

Ok, here it is my movie. Assault - People Can Fly.
I know I said it wouldn't be released before Orchilds movie but after talking to some clans m8s I decided to do so anyway.

About the movie
Some scenes could have needed more work and others maybe even could have been taken out. But I wanted to keep them in because they mean something to me. One of the things I wanted to do was to first show the first scene as authentic as possible from my view and then show more clearly what happened through replays. I'm not sure how to label the movie, but I guess it's a frag movie basically.

It's a big movie file compared to other UT movies, 2gb. I did try Bamses tips (xvid guide) but that made it even 100mb larger and the movie wouldn't run. Imo 2 gb isn't THAT large nowadays anyway. All in all I'm satisfied with the movie.

I forgot to say thank you to html in the readme for sending me 1 demo. So thank you html :)
