ah DDR will help UT emensly as it is memory bandwidth intensive. And the SiS DDR chipset sux A$$, the AMD one will show a 10-20% improvement in most cases.

And I was gonna say that SCSI cards are the only PCI devices that rarely overclock well, but figured you wouldn't have a clue what a SCSI card was so didn't bother :lol: And most gamers don't use SCSI (unless its for CDR's) :) (yeah yeah I know Neo does). I have overclocked more PCI devices than times you've tugged on ya todger in ya life time, and SCSI cards are the only things that have really been problematic.

Oh and for the record my machines 3DMark score is about 6000, thats a PIII 650@866, and GeForce DDR (150/333), and yes it all runs a solid as a metaphoric rock :)

Can i just add that my Adaptec 2940UW overclocked as sweet as a nut to 133 on a BX. Unfortunately my TNT2 daint like it, yet same brand TNT1 run perfect.

hrm, I borrowed a 2940UW to try it out, but that didnt even initialise on boot.

I suspected it might have something to do with the Intel 815 chipset so I left it at that.

At the end of the day, I 'pooter does everything I throw at it, plus more - I'm happy with it not over clocked.

At least I might get more life outa my processor, some guys here will be scooping melted silicon out of their cases in the next few weeks. :]

avg fps in UT is about 50-60 fps for me, I don't give a flying @#%$ about 3dMark
