MOBO : 100,-
CASE : 100,-
HDD : 85,-
BURNER : 20,-
DVDPLAYA: 18,-
total around 900 'ish ,

I can spend ~100ish more So what would you improve or change ? ( I dont even know if all the components 'match' )
I think the CPU can be better and so does the MOtherboard. ?
But what about the RAM Is that ok, not to even mention the vid card lawl.
Help me and I give free reputation points!

Perhaps some faster memory, so that it matches the speed of your FSB. I think thats DDR2-8500, those 4 cores will need it.

180 euro :P
Any other upgrades? Is the motherboard + CPU + HDD Good ?

Probably.. The CPU probably isn't the fastest for current games, but hopefully better optimized multi-threaded games will perform better in the future. I have no experience with that motherboard.
As for the HDD, its probably ok, but not particular fast.
If you want a faster drive, a WD Raptor is the choice.
For good performance, and yet high capacity, the new Seagate 7200.11 series are probably the fastest 7200rpm drives out atm.

Another friend of mine said I should get an empty Case and buy a seperate Power Supply (he suggested the Zalman ZM600-HP 600W (ATX, Heatpipe))

the HDD
Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD, 150GB (10000rpm, SATA, 16MB, NCQ)
Is that really better performance wise compared to the other HDD ? this one one is almost 3 times smaller and costs double

If that Antec case uses an Antec PSU, you'll be ok with that, unless its a really cheap case.. Antec usually makes good PSUs.
As for the last post, RPM makes all the difference.
While the drive may not have as high a sustained transfer rate as newer 7200 RPM drives, the lower seek times of the 10kRPM makes the drive faster in random access. I have a 15kRPM drive in my pc as system drive *rawr* its fast.
Although in fairness, you probably wont notice much difference in daily use.

Personally im not a fan of the PSU's that Antec have been supplying with their cases recently, if it were upto me I would buy a case and then specify a PSU from Tagan/OCZ/Seasonic etc

The Q6600 is 266Bus speed, ie 1066 so unless you are overclocking PC1066 will be mroe than enough, not sure the boards even allow memory dividers greater than 1:1 for utilising faster ram.

With the Gfx card I would consider another make, you can buy factory OC versions (clock speeds up 10-15% ish) from ppl like BFG or EVGA for what should be the same price as the Asus cards and they come with lifetime warranties not a couple of years.

Dont know much about the MB but I see you picked one with DDR2 and DDR3 which is nice :D

So the CPU Is still 'good' / 'semi-good' for at least 1-2 years?
And the motherboard also 'matches' nice with my Ram and CPU ? (im a total noob with this.. lol)
and the 'boxed' means it comes with a 'good' cooling on it right?:P

wich im gonna do I think :D

Well while you mention it, save a few bucks for another CPU cooler, the boxed ones are pants.

i find gigabyte to be shit for mobo, i would go for an asus most of the time tbh
and yes, buying good psu and cpu fan is a good thing!

IMO the main reason for buy a boxed CPU rather than OEM/Tray is that they have a 3year warranty rather than 1year the OEM has, the cooling solution with them is adequate but again I prefer upgrading to something quieter and better performing, it shouldnt cost much extra.

The CPU is hard to judge, I recently upgraded and bought an E6850 C2D as I felt that I would gain more from faster clock speeds in the programs I used than from the additonal cores of a quad, was same price as a Q6600. I also felt that I would most likely change the CPU in a year or so and that the quad cores would be a better option later on when more games supported it and they were a faster speed.

I dont know much about the MB, I went for an Asus P35 based board but I ignored the option of DDR3/DDR2 combo boards, by the time DDR3 is cost effective the MB will probably not support the latest CPUs anyway so spend same amount on a board that has a better layout and more features.

Made some changes:P

Antec LifeStyle Sonata II € 95,19 € 95,19
Asus P5K-E/WiFi-AP, P35 (ATX, Sound, LAN, SATA II, RAID, WiFi) € 126,77 € 126,77
Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5D € 173,- € 173,-
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 € 222,- € 222,-
MSI GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB DDR3 (PCI-e, 2x DVI) NX8800GTS-... € 378,- € 378,-
Samsung SpinPoint T166, 500GB (7200rpm, SATA II, 16MB, NCQ) € 85,85 € 85,85
Tagan TG580-U15, 580W (ATX12V, 2.02, PCI-e) € 99,95 € 99,95

What could be better then this! :P

You may want to get a (just released) 8800GT instead of the GTS, it sounds like a slower product, but it is in fact faster then the 8800GTS in pretty much everything.

I got about 2-3 months ago a Q6600, Asus P5K3 deluxe motherboatd and a 8800 GTS 320MB.

Gotta say, the performance is incredible for the applications I use it for. Gaming is great, I haven't played the latest Crysis game thing which has ubber graphics yet - but 2142/UT3/TF2 all run gloriously at 1680 * 1050

I just picked up a Q6600 and if u fancy a bit of overclocking its the chip to go for, i got it up from 2.4Ghz to 3.6Ghz with no difficulty whatsoever. That said get a good power supply (my 3 yr old 400W job wasn't up to the job) and a very very good cooler.

you looked at an 8800 GT 512MB? They are getting great reviews everywhere and if ur planning to get a 640MB GTS I would defo look more at the 8800 GT.

 ok doh beat me but he's right! I think they are a even a little cheaper too.

Linkage

Thats one nice card, if I was buying now that would defo be on my list. Lifetime Warranty too :D
