Very good movie,
and yes Eva Green is kinda hawt, mb not the hottest JB Girl but she's hawt (see below)
Imo the hottest bond girl physically was Triple-X from The Spy Who Loved Me (and ye, I've seen all EON Bond films except Octopussy, all 20 and Never Say Never Again, where Domino def. gives every other girl a run for the money.
Eva Green's acting was spectacular, Casino Royale has the best acting of any bond movie imo. The dialogue between Vesper Lynd (Green) and Bond was phenomenal I think and that's what makes her so attractive.
Anyways, spoiler time:
[shock]At first I thought Daniel Craig was far too much of a thug. Needs more class like Roger Moore.
WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE BOND GADGETS? A FUCKING DEFIBRILATOR SHAPED LIKE A STOPSIGN IS NOT A MUTHERFUCKING BOND GADGET!!
I'm sorry? James Bond didn't kill the villian? Good game.
Only 4 action scenes 2 minutes long each? I'm sorry, I thought the movie was 2 hours long.
If I wanted to watch the world series of poker I'd tune into some un-loved ESPN channel.
My BIGGEST Disappointment is that they put July 6th 2006 on tapes. NO Bond film should ever have the year in it unless it's discussing a bottle of wine.
Oh, aside from that I liked the movie... I think Eva Green did a great job as Vesper Lynd and in my mind makes the best Bond girl to date. The plot was pretty good, much thicker than other Bond films and the interaction between Bond and Lynd was impeccable. I think that's the first time I remember him saying "I love you" in a movie and meaning it, it's the second time he resigns in a movie, third where he's been terminated from the service (License to Kill he was fired, On Her Majesty's Secret Service he resigned). The only thing I didn't like plot-wise was that they under-developped Le Chiffre as a villian, didn't make him seem all that bad, but when you analyze it and realize this is Bond's first big mission, that doesn't seem too bad. He's not going to be saving the world when he is first given 00 status.
I don't think James Bond should never be allowed to wield a weapon larger than a pistol. I don't like how the movie concluded either and the fact that Lynd dies is upsetting although plot-wise impressive. This movie reminds me a lot of On Her Majesty's Secret Service for some reason. Probably because Bond resigns and the girl gets killed. This film took a lot of risks I think, but in the end I actually walked out extremely satisfied, I loved it.
Oh and for the record this film had the best acting of any Bond film.
Bond also is shown taking more running steps than walking.
One last thing:
JAMES BOND WENT TO CAMBRIDGE NOT OXFORD WHAT THE FUCK!! [/shock]
