5 sec spawn time will be fine.
You avoid heavy spamming which was a very used technique i UT99 As.
Actually very boring in the end.

As some one said above: Use the spawn time for your advantage.

5 sec spawn time adds much more strategic thinking into the game.

You can't control your oponent with constant spam anymore but have to be smarter instead.

LoL never mind 5 secs just dont alter the original setting plays fine on CB with normal default spawn clock 5v5AS2k4 ,whats point in even wanting to change spawn times imo :S doesnt make any sense.... end of story
