Bart, Chelsea rated him enough to start him a fair few times. Then sell him for £6m and if he got a call up to Germany squad, surely that is based on his club form?

He was Middlesbrough captain also and they are gutted he has gone as Villa, Everton and Spurs were interested.

Tuncay is the better deal, Chelsea bid £8m for him last January but Boro rejected because at that time they didn't need the money but needed Prem survival!

Also agreed terms for another £5m transfer of 21 year old Uruguay International Diego Arismendi :)

Hopefully he brings Van Gaal a little bit of luck in the future. Van Gaal always had troubles in the first couple of months with his new clubs.. It would be ridiculous if Bayern already fired him because of the bad results in his first games as a coach. ;)
 
he played in CFC, RMFC and now Bayern...its top football clubs of Europe, just he is a good player and if he will has good occasions and some nice pass from his team mates, then he can shot many goals, and some guys on forums will talk about him then ;)

btw. ManU 2-1 Arsenal FC :( anyway it meant that CFC is a leader of Premiership :cool:

Portugal will qualify together with Denmark, don't you worry. fucking sweden wouldn't know how to play football if the knowledge hit them in the head! Bah!
 
Its surely impressive what Capello made out of the english team.
And also how they, spain and the netherlands qualified, but imho that doesnt mean anything for the upcoming event.

history showed several times teams who literally owned qualification and friendlies before a tournament didnt manage to do good at the final stage (czech, netherlands) and teams who struggled to qualify went far or even win the whole thing (italy, germany, etc)

Pretty strange that Argentina and Portugal have those problems, when you see that their squad consisting of so many skilled players. Again you see that soccer is a teamsport. Many stars doesnt mean shit when they dont act as one team.

Like everyone expected the russia / ger match will be the most important match in the whole qualifying process for both teams.
The first encounter the russians lost 1-2 and got pretty hammered, they were lucky not to get more against-goals.

In moscow it will be a different story. Actually i've no doubts, the german nationalteam always did well when it matters since decades, so it will be in russia or even in a possible playoff match. They will qualify.

@Firestorm: Idd. men are far more athletic and the gameplay is faster.
 
Problem is, Portugal don't play as a team most of macth time...
when they do, they create danger but we still need a good strike.. we need other Eusébio :D
we are missing so much Figo, Rui Costa, João Pinto, etc.. I think we don't have players to replace them...

about Argentina, never saw a match of them but it's really disappointingto not see them on WC
 
Im sorry for deco who seems to be a decent guy but ronaldo couldnt even teamplay if he was payed for it... oh wait he IS actualy :lol:
