i have the xp2000 and the 512 ddr but no gf4ti400 :) , I'm gonna get a 4200 like in a week though :c) , so I'll check mine out then , was thinking about a gf3 ti200/500 128mb also :)

oi - now i wanted to get screens in D3D with the fps on them (also with the new drivers i got installed)

but D3D is totally fucked  (50fps max and many nice visual errors):

[edit to avoid having to scroll right to read all the text :) ]
(another lol -> on the screenshot everything looks normal!
argh just the other way round as in glide!
there everything looks good and i can't take screenshots (see above) )

System:
XP 1800+ (FSB (2x)133MHz) ;

the D3D screenshot (although it doesn't show those visual errors - but thats driver-related i think) was taken with these settings:

now gonna switch back to the other driver (if i can find it) and then u will get glide-ingame screens (and no - i don't have an aimbot to uninstall :P )

[edit] the visual errors with the new drivers in D3D were caused by some settings of those drivers. changed something (don't exactly know what guardbandclipping and stuff means tho) but now the errors are gone. still 50fps max tho. anyway - old drivers now... [/edit]

okay - these are the glide screenshots now
settings and stuff: see above
(tweaks are enabled on both screenshots)

jesus fucking chist LOL nice fps :P

:]

does it all look smooth and good ingame or look blurry ? seems in glide u have fps to spare maybe make it look better higher res or less blurring :]

the JPG makes it a bit shitty
it looks... well i am used to it... so it looks good to me
golgo screen uncompressed (just increased gamma)

it is 1024 and i think a higher res would be too much (dunno if it needs more memory - but it would CPU load would be more - or... ehm.... dunno what exactly would slow it down on a higher res. :\ )

ingame it runs smooth i think (got no comparison with other systems tho)

what exactly do you mean with "smooth/blurry/nice"?
should i maybe put world textures to high? could try that, yes.

oh and i said, that the voodoo isn't as fast as i thought it would be...
i mean... i thought i would have 200+fps all the time.
even in spammy situations. but as u can see, i got below 100 even when i am alone and offline! :(

any1 got a tipp (not "use a lower res." i know that :D) ?
or is that performance the best i can get?

and sorry for spam :D

Well tweak ur gfx card settings dunno anything bout voodoo's sorry.

should always run medium medium details low actually has worse fps and it looks shit high will probably kill ur fps maybe ? i dunno u have a fairly decent cpu so worth a try :]

btw, in UT and with my 'old' voodoo5500 in glide I averaged around 200 fps on all std maps.

basicially in UT long as ur fps rarely drop below ur monitor's refresh rate i.e 75/85/100 or so then u might aswell turn some things up :)

There's a new renderer out before was 1.9 now updated to 2.0 fixes a few things and also u can see all settings in advanced options preferences in console instead of having to add them to ur ut.ini got a slight performance increase aswell

same spot on deck16 had before 93 fps now 107 fps exact spot

1) n1! :) got a link? i wanna force my aak-mates to try those renderes :P
2) my solution for comparison of frames will come soon
i just need to find some time to create it. keep watching :)
