I am so infuriated at the political spin being put on everything to do with this "war".
I don't agree with the war personally - but it's got nothing to do with the politics involved - its just I struggle to justify taking of innocent human life.
But ffs Bodies like the SWC r disgraceful imo.
I am sure there are ppl within this gathering that are truly demonstrating because they find the idea of war offensive.
But to me they appear like a pack of scavengers waiting to strip the meat off whats left of the government at the end of this.

I have attended anti-Nazi rallies where the fucking SWP place their banners up in positions of the highest prominence-obscuring the main messages to forward their piss-pot political message.
It appears that the SWC and the SWP are closely linked.

I hate the fact that poltical factions will use a crisis such as this to feather their own nests - it is absolutely abhorrent.
They dont give a flying fuck if some Iraqi's die - more spin if some coalition soldirs die too!!! they will just feed on the chaos. Lowest of the Low.

And is it just me or is our coverage of the "war" like a gung-ho 80's movie? The titles are so slick - the presenting calm and emotionless. Hey kids join the Army!!! Kill some rag-heads!!! Serve your country!!!
All we need is Bruce Willis yippee-Ki-Ayying accross the screen for full effect. Jesus its fucking crazy.

the SWC SWP are a bunch of idiots i was helping do some graphics for the SWC untill i whent to a metting, the whole meeting was basically jossling for a position on who would be seen and who would get in the paper etc so i left and never whent back.

the TV graphics are so starship troopers.. that was the first thing that sprung to mind

as for the coalition.. what else would you call ? its the right name for who is fighting at the moment i think.
 
i keep hearing the imperial march in my head every time i c us troops(brits to ofcourse, but u mainly c US one`s.

Having been in both the reg army and having worked on military laser targeting dev. program i personaly think coalition troops will get seriously spanked from now on in towards baghdad.

I'm talking about the countries that are actually actively participating in the war.
 
Britain + Empire,USA and australia was a coalition in WWII, so we dont have an empire anymore does that make it not a coalition. and yeah there was the free polish etc but only in limited numbers. though that is no way a be litttling of what some achieved, thinks polish and norwegian as prime examples..

Me too. Lets just leave Saddam in power and maybe another 200,000 can be killed or 'disappeared' like they already have been. Just because we never get to hear about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

The sooner Saddam is gone the better.

Some philosopher blokey called Edmund Burke once said something like "evil will prosper when good men do nothing". How true.
 
i doubt very much 600 000 people will die if bush is left in power.. i think as the reality of street to street fighting becomes more apparent then civilian populations will suffer, but thats the way of war. I have a diff view to you though bb, so if 10,000 die now wont it be for the greater good? Isnt Iraqs future, hopefully one of democracry and stability and potentially seriously wealthy worth that, ok for the people involved then prolly not, but isnt the world and nations about looking at the bigger picture?
 
Bush won't and indeed hasn't only killed in Iraq.
Saddam needs to go of that there is no doubt - but Bush is just as much a madman.
Killing for peace? Still seems fucked up to me.
You talk about the greater good - all Bush is interested in is Wealth. A Democracy in Iraq will just become another point of sale for the capatilist leeches to sell products to another soon-to-be consumerist third world nation.

Saddam is needed to be removed and that means people die

War = killing people

collateral damage = killing people

breaking china = killing people

any other phrase you use = killing people

all in all removing saddam = killing people

this isnt killing for peace its killing for peace of mind

if you want saddam gone then there is no other way other than killing

having a democratically elected government and the opertunity to trade is only going to do iraq well it has oil wealth to trade on and the country and its people could prosper, that going to mean capitalisim and constructive tradeing, and yeah im shure they will have a coke and smile, but socialist, comunist share the wealth ect doesnt work it never has and never will you have to have a mix of both .

now you say liberating the iraqis bull shit, EVEN IF there is a little to much USism in Iraq after the war its going to be a whole lot better than they have now, id take capitalist leeches over fearfull dictator ship anyday.

you are free to do as we tell you ... the international comunity is gonna be all over that the UN will be wanting to weald its power again in iraq to justify its bieng ..consol yourself with tobbaco and alcohol ,, better than consolling them sleves with lack off food and free speech.
