Gonna upgrade my shitty celeron:D
but im confused

a cyrixMIII 750 is more expensive than a
Duron 800 which is faster
or a celeron 800 which is more expensive than both:???
which 1 wud be better, aand i cant afford to got for 1gig+ as im gettin more HDD, RAM, and graphics card.
And power-supply, explain it 2 me plz:)
 
I found the best value cpu here in the uk to be the Duron 850, besides when ur upgrading next time, as u will have an amd board, u could just stick in a 1.4amd athlon :D

A really good motherboard for the money is ECS - K7S5A..
It got support for both DDR RAM and PC133 RAM + the SIS735 chipset i very good (tested on several hardware sites)..
And it's only 54 punds! (calculated from danish prices)

And the Athlon XP 1500+ (best price/performance of all XP's and P4's @ TomsHardware) is only 100 punds...

That gotta be THE system if you haven't got much money..

Yes.. saw that you didn't wanna go 1 GHz+ because of the money.. But really.. it's only 65 punds difference from a Duron 800 ;)

But anywayz.. that motherboard can really be recommended.. (Duron or not) :cool:
