I'm getting a laptop with vista, not sure what to do about antivirus.

I see my main options as:

My current 'version' of norton - designed for XP
Norton 2008
Kaspersky
McAffee :teehee:
M$ Onecare
Some free online garbage - suggestions?

So, whats everyone else doing?

Using Rising aswell since DB posted it(on Vista). Very nice program! Not a system hog although I couldn't test it since I got no virusses on my pc. (hopefully)

I have always used (and payed for) the superior ESET anti-virus and firewall software. If you're looking for antivirus only, get ESET NOD32 Antivirus. If you're looking for complete protection, get ESET Smart Security. It's worth the small amount of money you have to pay every year. Very good protection (if not the best) and is fucking fast.

Or just hop to Mac or Linux.

According to the table Bart posted....NOD2 is probably so fast because it misses some of the viruses? ;)
Last years big test which arent linked to *cough*antivirus companies*cough*, have proven that ESET wins. Anyway, i don't care, was just saying :)
