Was watching the stream yesterday, started raiding people on blogtv.com, picking out several bloggers. Their views went up from 2-3 to about 800, so funny to see their reactions

I don't watch his stream that much but yeah I witnessed a ''raid'' like that on new years eve or something

there was a dude playing guitar and he thought he was getting hacked when his viewcount went from 20ish to over 3000 in under a minute, athene asked to play titanic and after 10 min or so of a wtf face and checking out who athene was the guitar dude did play ''my heart will go on'' and he was really good he got over a thousand subscribers to his youtube channel in 5 min. was pretty funny

-WoW: I'm sure he was the guy playing his paladin name "Athene" and that he did rank really high, pretty sure this can be verified then again WoW is easy

-Poker: Athene's real name is Bachir "Chiren" Boumaaza his pokerstars username is Chiren80. He claimed in many videos to have turned 5$ into 300 000$ over the course of a year and a half and he made about 4-5 video "tutorials" on poker.

- As for owning Einstein and Stephen Hawking that's a very tricky one. I would say there's less than 10% chance this is true. But this video really resonated with me. Especially the first half about the brain/social behaviour, I'm a biochemist and have always wondered and been interested by the inner workings of our brain and mind and I can tell you the things in this video are not bullshit, they are not new or revolutionary either but it's a really good resume of new developments in neuroscience. Now the most "groundbreaking" thing in the video is the second half which deals with physics and unfortunately equations and math never agreed with me so I understood less than 20% of the physics part, but I do believe it could, if true, be revolutionary. It'd be nice if a physicist like Fury or something could watch it and tell if it's hogwash or not


-As for starcraft II: that's how i learned of athene, in the vid he calls Husky a noob commentator and Husky saw that vid and laughed at it and even casted a few master league games of "Athene"
I'm pretty sure that wasn't actually Athene playing, that it was his friend Kiwikaki (a streamer on Athene live and a proffesionnal sc2 gamer prolly in the top 200) as his playstyle was a bit characteristic of Kiwikaki
what i do believe though is that was the first to play and win against 3 and 4 brutal computers but then again owning an AI is way easier than beating the best players in the world

Also I've seen Athene suck at games, like HoN (he plays LoL which is basically HoN/Dota for noobs) and some other game I forgot, he's also terrible at minecraft I guess he never really played FPS's...... he's probably a better overall "gamer" than most of us but he's nowhere close to being the "best gamer in the world" that's just trolling

Einstein himself was quoted many times as saying he just finished off what Maxwell started and that if Maxwell had lived longer he would have been redundant. That's your point of view, I think it's quite clear when you think of how our consciousness is actually dependent on the neurons in our brain.

Agreed. But you said it yourself, "usually" there are some exceptions and I believe this is one ; as the things they're saying do make sense and aren't bullshit (at least the neuroscience part).

That's how the brain really works as far as our current understanding of it goes. Obviously we haven't figured out everything about the brain yet, it's so insanely complex. Neither Athene's theory of everything or I claimed to have the brain fully figured out, it's just a melting pot of the research that has been done "recently" on the inner workings of the brain/counsciousness ; and I found it profoundly interesting.

What is he selling?
He got half a million dollars of Razer gear, and he's giving it all away for free to the community. I didn't get any gear but i'm not tempted to buy Razer products even if he shoves them in my face a lot.

Maybe he's promoting his youtube channel.... so what he's entertaining and for us users youtube is free so i'm glad he makes money from me watching his videos....
