The forums will be down for maintenance in the next few days, as we need to get the SCSI hard disk swapped out as it's starting to spit out a few errors. This will mean the forums and utassault.net web sites, IRC Services and other minor services will not be available.

This will involve cloning the current hard disk, and may take quite a few hours. Down time is expected to be from 2 - 10 hours. However, 10 minute jobs have taken 16+ hours before - so this time scale is very likely to be b0rked.

We have asked Gameservers.nl/Leaseweb to start this work in a morning to reduce the effect the down time has on league matches, the utassault.net web site, IRC Services and server links, etc.

More updates to this announcement will be posted once we get more information from Gameservers. If you have any questions, please contact us on IRC.

Gameservers.net want to charge us 100 euros to clone and swap the dying hard disk - so we have decided to do it ourselves remotely and save dosh! This will probably mean longer down time in the evening as this is the only time we will be able to do it.
 
The hard disk clone was done last night, and we are now running from the new disk. There will be some more downtime in the future when the old knackered disk is taken out and burnt!

Any problems - you know how to flame us.
