Anyone use it ?

Just looking at buying a sat Nav System, dont need anything too flash just nice and simple

Anyone recommend anything that they have used/use

My dad has one and it's fucking annoying.

Monotonal female voice bleating out directions.

"In three hundred meters, follow the roundabout."
....

"Follow the roundabout."

....

"Leave the roundabout, second exit."

....

"In five hundred and fifty meters, turn slightly left."

....

"Turn slightly left."




Infuriating piece of shit. Reminds me of the cockpit voiceovers in fighter jets, known to pilots as "Bitching Betty", "Nagging Nora" and "Harassing Harold".

We use tomtom thats good, dont buy tomtom go from PCworld though......u can get it £200 cheaper at Tesco

Dont need one as i never get lost.(no clever comments needed )Get a proper mapbook and if ur thinking of traveling to another countrey....get a plane fare.

Erm, I sometimes use a paper road map m8.

follow signs, is usually enough, and then ask some pedestrian when youre near

I'd like a Sat-nav..but they're still too expensive


And I hardly ever drive anywhere where I don't know the directions
