Anyone know if there is such a programmable remote that you can point you old remote at it and record the signals to buttons?

I'm sure there used to be such a thing but all I can find nowdays are scanning remotes, which I have, but doesn't find my hifi amp at all.

What is a scanning remote?

Ive used some of the Logitech ones which use a predefined db for button layout and function but it also has the learn function built in.
Alternatively I own a Philips pronto remote for my system, that allows me to learn the codes from other remotes as well as import them as a config file.

Keep in mind this is for IR not RF, not tried it with RF versions before.

@DB It's a Topping TP32

@MyM: yeah it's one that can learn from other remotes I'm looking for and IR too. I'll have a look for a Pronto. Cheers
