Pinball player know the last active remaining Pinball Table manufacturer Stern.
In video halls about forty years ago, it was not a big surprise to see fifty and more pinball machines ready to play. Today, as you have not much choice to play real pinball machines, to own a mechanical Pinball, will always be the most realistic game experience.

Who remembers out of own experience Pinball Table, knows what I mean. I am very much surprised, how realistic Pinball simulations are today recreated as close as possible to their real counterparts.

For example Visual Pinball and Future Pinball are PC-games. You can buy a Pinball simulation Cabinet, build up your own machine or play the games with a normal PC.

A common webside is http://www.vpforums.org/.
Other websides are http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl and http://www.hyperspin-fe.com.

For more information I recommend to use the Tweegster / GodSin v 1.05 Dummies guide. Another help can be the usage of the Pinball Electrical 101 guide.

Here are a few examples.

Medieval Madness
Lord of the Rings
Indiana Jones

One of my favourite games of all time is Psycho Pinball :)

There's been done a remake of the Wild West-table for one of the more popular Pinball-emulators/simulators, but nothing like the original game with all its 4 tables...

haha...maaaan..old times...I remember the big halls I have been in had about 10 and more pinball machines.-now a days, the SAME hall remains 2 pinball machines. I cant explain why the new generations cba to play real pinball anymore...my generation was kinda focused on those halls and had spent quite a lot time and money for playing pinball...sometimes you were lucky and got a "Replay" :D...
