The patch has a trojan virus that messes up ur game and sends out ur CD key thru the internet apparently.

Indeed. Just remember that anything unofficial including cdcracks etc may be trojans after your key. Of course they may not, but is it worth the risk.
Wait for a download from Epic or a site you trust, which will probably be when its out of beta.
