Well I'd consider a Core2 setup if I was you. Also I'd spend £15 more on the Hard disc and get one over double the size...

Thats a cracking processor and the E6420 gives you the best bang for the buck. I think it would be worth it over the AMD system.

thx tim :)
so if i was to go with the E6420, which gfx card would go nice with it?

ALSO would i need a bigger psu cause it only comes with a 400w would i need to get a 500w? or 550w psu?

the system is ok in performance terms, however I would avoid all this no-name stuff, e.g. with the mainboard n that. ASUS P5B Deluxe comes to mind. also the DVD writer, get an LG H10N one, they're cheap but offer the best quality atm. They're not as fast as that samsung one but so arent the CDs you burn on usually, anyway. (edit: didn't find one on the novatech site.. well, then stick with samsung, should still be alright)
I'd not get a no-name PSU for a system like that, try looking for Enermax Liberty series or at least some proper brand model. (novatech got the 400W model for under 50 quid)
the seagate HD is a good pick, so is the C2D CPU.
also one major mistake regarding the very first post in this thread: don't mix DDR2 with DDR1 RAM... (look at the bundle and then at your 1 GB additional RAM)
