Makin use of newsgroups for newbies

ok makin use of newsgroups

go to www.newsrover.com and download trial software

configure it to your isps news server example "news.cable.ntlworld.com"
see ur isps info page for ur own address to use
then subscribe to the groups ur intrested in,here a few to get u started if u like mp3

alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.2000s
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.full_albums
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.heavy-metal
alt.binaries.warez.uk.mp3
alt.binaries.mp3

get all the headers for the group and look through them for files u want
files change daily so if u see it get it while u can
u can usually find the latest albums and even leaked ones (not yet in shops)
most mp3 rips found on the newsgroups are usually of excellent quality @192 or 256 k bits/second

if ur downloading large items such as movies or software u will most likely find them in winrar parts
check to see that the volume is complete(newsrover can do this for u) if there are parts missing and the post has included Par files with the winrar volume then it is possible to use these Par files to substitute the missing Rar files
using a small program called SmartPar this program will also repair damaged files.

if there are say 5 par files u can repair/replace a maximum of 5 rar files(very clever how it works )
