That's one giant flame against USA. Although certainly the USA's actions aren't to be condoned and I myself certainly don't condone or support them, it's not good to link the two. I think Russia's policies are very scary, invading a foreign neighbor and I also think Vladmir Putin's "holding high office for life" status which he seems to have now is frightening. That would be like if Bush was John McCain's running mate. Very frightening.

I don't at all for the reasons up mentioned in my previous posts.
USA dont give a fuck of what ONU decides and ye it is the most powerful country in the world but this fact doesnt allow USA to act like Mr. God on earth.
Russia is not Sovietic Union anymore and the problems of the ex sovietic countries all derive from the "slavery" under SU itself. But Russia is way more different as the name itself should suggest. And doesn't act as brutally and unfriendly as USA do.
So, imo, Russia is not rly worse than USA.

About the politics in this thread, let me share abit of my own experience with forums and politics.

When i was about 21 i got REALLY interested in politics, id just comepleted my military service.

Now about 10 years later ive calmed down, cause as most know politics can drive u nutts.Thing is tho its seriously complicated stuff when u start out and NOONE tells the whole truth.Left or right wing, everyone has an agenda.

Take into acount the culture of the nations concerned, Just because europeans watch 70% of tv\movies made in the US and we all understand english doesnt mean were that close when it comes to morals and values.

History and the perception of what "a long time ago" means will confuse and distort any argument.

Im a socialist, that doesnt mean im a communist. Just means i think the country should pay for alot of stuff i.e. that nation serves the ppl. Americans have a very different view.

And lastly theres one thing which should be remembered and taken into acount. The size of any given countrys economy, population size and diversity influences everyting. What i mean is that Norway has 5 million ppl who are basicaly all left leaning socialists, even the far right here is concidered a liberal republican in the US. Norway also has one of the strongest welfare states in the world and bucket loads of benifits and cash.


I could say more, but i havent got the zeal i used too and i cant be arsed.
