I've paid about 190€ for my GF4 ti4200, Leadtek one, which is max. 200 US $

get a 128 meg GF4, if you planning to play doom 3 with it at least:)

dim a whole new line of cpus and gpus will be out by then, so u should wait for that :)

if not this current line will be dirt cheap at that point :)
 
yea lighty that's the point :) about the 128mb vs 64mb vid card... i'm thinking about the 128, but the price of the 64mb will go down so much by wintertime with new gpu's coming out and all.... i have a little update as well...

i'm getting MSI 6380E KT3 ULTRA AMD DDR 4 USB #206 mobo, its 20 bucks more than the other one i wanted.. but i think it'll be worth it. and the standard oem audigy instead of the x-gamer...

oh and the 128mb would be a good investment over the 64mb cuz the newer games (UT2k3) need the extra 64 :)

assuming prices for GPU's are driven down like woah when the 9700 is out on the streets, get a Gainward Ultra 750XP.. Ti4600.. argh, current king of the hill :drool:

CPU, i like mah P4's, get a 2.26, you can reach 3ghz. of course i kno you gonna go for the athlon tho (fs)

mobo, if you got a P4 would be an IT7/IT72 prolly.. they're niiice :D

memory.. either way.. get corsair :D

argh, iunno. get a good comp or somethin. and don't listen to rob, he smells. and as it is, 128 to 64 is only an extra $20. iunno, didn't really read the whole thing. blah
