Absolutely quality service from Google, they've done it well and properly - again :] Check it out, does directions, zooming and all that auto-route sorta stuff, and it does it very well.

The US version was released a while ago, and this week the UK version went live. Hopefully they'll extend it throughout Europe too.
 
The maps are impressive but check out the ride finder (US only atm I know but it's very impressive).
 
yeah first thing i did when i had seen that satelite link was look for things i shouldnt like the white house etc im suprised "they" havent supressed area 51 ... as they have altered the white house pics so you cant see the roofs of the buildings .. same as a few other places aswell ..

the pics of miami or sanfran are really clear ..if that the res "they" are alowing google to show makes you wonder what res "they" really have .....

ohh i love a bit of "them" and "us"

Yeah, NASA released a free earth viewer application similar to this, but being able to zoom from outter space into a 1/10,000 map or something. But they couldn't deal with the bandwidth needed, however I bet Google can.

Should just be a matter of time before the satellite imagary is added to the system, and other goodies.
