Forums server problem

For some reason, last week Gameservers.net restarted or unplugged the power to the forums server after 260+ days of continuous uptime. Since the restart we have had problems with Apache webserver memory leaks/processor hogging - which results in the forums grinding to a standstill every so often.

doh and I are looking into the problem, and hopefully we'll have a fix for it soon. If you experience a slow down or pages not loading do not keep refreshing, as it's only going to queue more and more requests and slow everything down further. :(
 
Power failiure or someone simply switched it off. It didn't crash and wasn't rebooted by us.
 
And as another note, to those of you on irc, you may notice alot of netsplits especially from services. This is caused by the same problem, as the server overloads and starts disconnecting stuff

As you probably realise, things didn't look good for too long :( We are on a different server away from gameservers at the moment, after a disaster with the old server. We haven't lost any data or posts as we did a full backup before we started. Until the forums.utassault.net DNS updates, please use this URL:

http://forums.irchub.com

When the DNS is updated, the current irchub.com URL will transfer you over automagically.

Sorry about the downtime.
