Formatted USB stick.

My sister accidently formatted an USB stick when installing.
Not that big of a deal as there were avi's on it. but now the usb stick doesn't seem to get open/explore.
When i look at properties it shows that i have 0 bites... When i should have 4gig at that stick?

Is there anyway to get it up working or should i just toss it away?

Doesn't work, when i do that it says
'Disk is not formatted'
Want to format? yes/no

yes i get the format screen but when i try to format it says 'Windows was unable to complete the format.'
By pressing no i get nothing.

Also it says 'Unknown Capacity' in format window.

Will lose the chance to recover the avis but should be able to format the stick with the HP USB formatter.

It now can see my capacity and i can open it.
As i allready lost the avi's, it's ok, too bad i also lost my Curriculum Vitae
