Indeed. However this is severance for the EU who have imposed the restrictions to recoup the improper trading actions by the US. This is only making up for what is lost, not making people or countries lose out further. With the US dollar being being so weak against the £ at the moment, end consumers shouldn't see much of a difference in imports. So hopefully trading wars will be a lesser issue in the future if the EU can stand it's ground and make trade fairer for all.
And it's nice that Europe perhaps has the guts to stand up against anyone any country that improperly trades, in my opinion of course.
