I got a Kingston 64GB DataTraveler 200 Off Ebay for £12, got it today.
It started to copy over some files to it, BUT then it stopped working.
It wont let me format it, it keeps saying that it is write protected, There is NO small switch, which turns the protection on/off.
NOW when trying to fix it,
i Ran a program from http://www.transcendusa.com/Products/online_recovery_1.asp
I have got it working as a 2GB flash Drive, (which is 62GB too small)
Any ideas on how to get it working back as a 64GB flash drive, or a name of a tool that will help get it working?
Thanks for any help

lol....

Haven't you ever heard about the USB stick scam where a USB stick is formatted with a <insert high capacity>, when in reality it only contains a much smaller capacity?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, you can't get a 64GB usb stick for 12 quid.

When i first put it in, it did reg as a 64GB drive.
is there any tool that u can think of that can format it to its correct size and to get the write protected off it?
When looking around i have seen lots of other people having this problem.

Indeed, I'd say you've been duped. You'd expect to pay £100+ for a 64Gb DT200.

If you can't format it with something like the HP USB Storage tool (as FAT32), then it's highly likely to be a fake.
