since i installed the UT2k3 demo when i connect right from the league site to a server UT2k3 demo gets started and and error messge comes: Server is running a too old version. Anyone knows how i can change it back to *old* UT ?

Yeh, one of the ways i found out, is using Registry Editor.
Start -> Run -> regedit
Search for this Key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\unreal
Change the entries from the sub.key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\unreal\Shell\open\command
to match the Path to UT
Start -> Run -> regedit
