just kind of intrigued to hear whether other peoples BT openworld has got a lot better over the last few months?

mine used to suck and i regretted bothering with it, but just lately its gone from one extreme to the other, and my pings rarely go above 50 on most servers i play on. plus of course price dropping to £30/month is making it more competitive.....

i had a little bit of a bad time with BT BUT only had about 2 weeks of bad pings, now my ping rocks and download/upload speed is good to

The price going down could b bad more people might get btopenworld which means our pings might go shit again for a bit, (i hope not tho)

NTL rox my sox .. dunno about pings as dont play online much anymore ... but dls are great .. think its cos of b/w upgrades to allow 1mbit .. but 75kb/s constant and burst starts at around 160kb/s and slowly drops

Yeah I can't say I have had any problems recently, I can compare it to Blue Yonder Cable 512 I have used for pretty much the same amount of time. Cable is faster than BTO for me, but then again I am on a business ratio to I might not be pushing the peakes. For £30 a month I really cannot complain at what I am getting for my money. Pings are decent and its a service - standard, nothing special. Does the job.
