Yeah, been trying since last night to get it, gamespot's servers we're overloaded, so only got 6-7kb/sec, found one at bf2.com, gonna play in an hour or so :) :paddy:
 
Aye, it is mint. Can really see ]UTA[ coming back for another disaster-fest.

We've got a demo server up and running, just sorting out the ports as you can't connect for some reason!
 
they are just saying that they temporarily close the download slots on that site. will be reopened at 12 pm cet (in 5 minutes).

can i play it with my shitty system? 512 megs ram, 2000 mhz, radeon 9600 pro :hangover:

Don't know, haven't seen the requirements, although watching the little teaser they put on their pages some time ago, it does look too pull alot of power:x
 
runs pretty nice on my pc which is prolly avgish (9800pro/a64 3200) no slowdown at 1024 all high so i think some ppl will be surprised by performance

wont work if yu gave a ti4600 or older .. only works on fx5700 or rad 8500 or higher gcard ..

Saw that on a game's forum:

Ok, I finally figured out how to fix that damn crash to desktop error when using a GF4TI card.

1) download the Microsoft Framework, do a search on google (+download +microsoft framework)

2) download DXTweaker: mrbauer.net/files/dxtweaker.rar

3) Extract to a folder on desktop

4) Run DXTweaker, and goto "New" on the right

5) Point it to your root BF2 EXE (in your EA Sports\battlefield 2\ DIR)

6) Check the 2 boxes that contain 'SHADER' , one is FORCE PP SHADER OTHER IS PS SHADER or something of that sourt

7) Click Apply, and then click RUN on the top.

It will launch the game with no problems and you will be playing very smoothly!

I just wish EA and DICE would have included a simple pixel shader 1.2 include but w/e, this will be suffice for now.

Not tested as i don't have an nvidia and the demo isn't working on my PC anyway.
Looks like it doesn't for everyone btw
 
Remember that this is still a demo, maybe with the full version the problems with some (already) older gfx cards are fixed=)

Ill get downloading it then, Desert Combat was a good laugh despite the fact i couldnt operate vehicles properly ;)

helicopters and planes are a bitch to fly lol

game looks mint, u can get a nice teamplay going and all.
but there's the ussual teamkilling, camping going on as ussual, thats a shame though :/
 
Game seems very good much better then the previous battlefield crap. Vehicles finally are not allmighty... good they made those planes and helicopters hard to fly :)
