Would women (and men :moon:) still like diamants if they costed fuck all?

I mean they like sparkling things but usually only when they're damn expensive :o

gold costs less than a gram of hashish here in norway:lol:

they wouldnt like it... you see, normal people/n00bs dont see the difference between polished glass or diamonds.. but who the fuck likes polished glass?
If you give a woman a ring stating it has some expensive diamond on it, but its glass then you are a dead man if she finds out ;)

Nobody would give a real shit about diamonds if they were a common good without exceptional value.
Women, men doesn't matter.

It's a status symbol.

Gucci diamond bracelet costs sometimes 5x more than a normal diamond bracelet, but ppl still buy Gucci one. Like Fin said, status and society

something is special -> people like it
something is common -> people dont bother

doesnt matter if its diamonds, gold or whatever

I think it would be pretty easy to find exceptions to that statement :)

But as for diamonds..yeah ppl wear ém cause they are rare. Being rare means being expensive. I think people like to be seen with expensive stuff, just like driving a Rolls or Merc. or having your own jet airplane..like me:p:

diamonds do have a really low critical angle of reflection making them look like they sparkle a lot.. so even if they were inexpensive it would still be cool to watch it sparkle :D
