I am trying to get UT running on an old xp machine. I have managed to install it ok and have just put a Radeon 9200 128mb gfx card in it! (monster!). Anyhow, I remember I used to have a little app that I used to run UT. Basically it stopped all unnecessary services from running and when I closed UT it re enabled them. Does anyone use anything similar? At the moment, the machine only has 512mb ram. I can upgrade it to 2gb if I wish. Also, can I use OpenGL drivers with this card or are there better drivers for it that would work on this piece of turd machine?
