I've been hosting a server since March which has been seeing some moderate traffic (occasional 6v6 publics) and MyM was kind enough to set the pugbot up with server. As so, it's my pleasure to re-introduce #uscpug.
For those who do not know, from 2009-2010 uscpug was the 'United States and Canada' pug channel, featuring a different map selection, different players, and an enjoyable environment. In our heyday we were actually more active than utapug for a short period of time, and regularly had 6v6 pugs from 19GMT - 8GMT.
To be clear, this channel is not meant as a competition to any other pug channels, nor is it meant to serve as a very competitive pug channel. The first and foremost rule should be sportsmanship, and uscpug prided itself in being (mostly) flame-free and the host of the only two pugs Lucy never cried in. Most regulars play for the love of the game and fun, those who choose not to would be asked to refrain from joining.
Rules:
Relatively the same as utapug, with the main rules being "don't be a dick" and "use common sense"
-No UTA auth
-ZeroPing may be added to pug at users' discretion - ask an admin.
-Please adhere to fair/fun/agreed to teams
While I realize the appeal to Europeans of joining a high-ping lower-skill less-competitive pug may not be strong, please feel free to idle and join a late-night pug or give pogo/jaybone a chance at playing with low ping
Server is in Chicago, USA, a major internet hub which should not provide very poor ping - if anyone has major issues please contact me via forum PM or this thread. Many Europeans got below 100 ping in the last uscpug server!
