Ok, since your on the new utassault.net forums, you've seen the new utassault.net site. So whats it all for?
Well the new utassault.net is what I always wanted utassault.net to be, and with a bit of vision and encouragment from Shaitan (and a lot of learning PHP and mySQL) is what I finally got around into developing it into. The aim is transform utassault.net from a league into a news/reviews/guides and links site for the whole UT assault community, regardless of which league you play in. Don't worry the league hasn't gone nor will it be closing up shop, its now on its own site league.utassault.net (and it will be getting a new site design too).
Some people say assault is dieing, others say its stronger than ever, its difficult to judge but the aim of this site is to bring the whole of the current assault community (those who play in ALL the major AS leagues, utassault.net, WAR, Proving Grounds, Clanbase and the new Jolt AS league, and those who don't play in any clans or leagues) together in one place. On top of this we hope to bring more interest and hopefully more players into Assault with guides, reviews, news, downloads and interviews all focused around Assault.
With a new site, we have new forums too
Very kindly provided by Martz and monsterkill.net we have new vBullitin powered forums, which are a lot more reliable and feature packed than the previous ezboard ones. Please do not abuse these new forums, the hosting of these forums is not free.
As you can probably see, the new site is somewhat lacking in content, well what we need from you, the assault community is some people to fill the new site with content. We need Reviewers, people to write Guides and Interviewers prepared to put in the time and effort required to produce quaility reviews (maps, mods, mutators and skins), guides and interviews. Everything on the site is database driven so you don't need knowledge of HTML If you can help out please drop myself or Shaitan an email at [email protected] or [email protected]. We need people to make this site all that it can be.
