This was my last match as leader of CoH, I had a great time running it but real life is cosuming more and more time so I have to choose :(
Last thing I wanted to say is I'm proud of my team cause we had a great match and thanks to pete, you played very good and were nice on ts. /Spoq

just an additional comment on this really. Pete may have played and you allowed it. regardless of the circumstances about that. 6 players were put in front of you and you couldn't beat them. Its as simple as that. If your really good, like some of you seem to suggest then you would win against anybody (and the ego factor is probably why you let Pete merc in the first place). Your acting like Pete beat you alone :(

Its like you played the match, realised "EHM this didnt go to plan" and are complaining afterwards. :rofl:
 
Not at all, noone is saying the match wasnt good, it was the best in a long time.

Pete playing definitely made things more interesting, just the circumstances he played under are whats annoying us, people like X-Bomb claiming to be busy and 3-4 members from CoH practically begging me to allow Pete to play so they can get 6 because 'XB is busy'.

Seems XB wasnt busy enough, considering he played the entire FDC vs AUT match as a merc..ironically for the clan Pete is a member of, why don't you just swap clans next time?
 
xb didn't merc for AUT, he merced on FDC side. We had 9 players available.
We didn't know what was happening on CoH vs Mi5 as we had a game ourselves. XB mercing for FDC didn't make us curious too cause a) we thought CoH had more than enough players, so xb was free and b) we didn't know it was our player replacing him.
Petez didn't know xb was playing in our game, otherwise he wouldnt have merced for CoH. So please let us out of this.

Thats bullshit saying "mi5 allowed merc so whats the problem"...

Tbh, its a bit, well..... noob... really. If CoH knew XB was avail and tried to pull the wool over mi5's eyes, then that was pretty shitty and pathetic of them. If CoH did believe that XB was not avail, and XB clearly was, then its him being seriously noob and pathetic - he's not that weak a player so why he got TEH_FEAR over playing mi5 is just lol.

Sadly using a merc actually puts all of CoH's hard work in this war to shame, because everyones always gonna say that they never would have managed this scoreline with their own team - but we'll never know this one way or the other because it seems like their own members ran crying or something when it actually came one of two main challenges to their #1 title :EE

Just for that reason, to make it more interesting, i asked mi5 to let pete merc. I had no idea pete was going to be a beast cus 50% of his ut time these days is with ping probs.

The part where mi5 claims pete won (tied) us the match is partly true cus he frankly killed many on important moments and spots/saves etc. Although i have to say the coms on coh side and teamwork was something i havent seen for a long time so :clap: for that guys ;).

Anyway the rest is all clear and partly lame.

Shame Spoq is resigning which will lead to coh leaving league i think so :wave: coh ;(.

i think you should show CoH some respect, we had a good match and took you to 7-7 with the players available so just grow up and accept it Mi5. if CoH had lost we would of said great game and i'm sure u all would be saying the same. u can moan all u want about 1 player making the difference but its funny why you didn't mention it until we started winning isn't it, you allowed pete to play at the start of the game and you couldn't beat us , end of story.
 
Let me add some information from my point of view:

  • I knew AUT had a game vs FDC - in AUTs private channel there were at least 8 guys signed, so i wasn't playing the game;
  • Salva asked me to play the game vs mi5 early that day. I guess CoH was seriously trying to get a team to play versus mi5. This suggests to me that they really couldn't get 6 CoH players at that time.
  • As far as i really knew, XB refused to play the game. During the game, i wasn't aware of the fact that XB was playing another game.
  • LocoMouse was online on IRC using his phone; he didn't have a PC to play on that day. Another CoH-dude came online during the match, but he/she wasn't home.
  • As for me, i never tried to "fool" mi5 - i was out for a proper match, which it was.
  • I agree with everyone who thinks that it isn't appropriate to use a merc instead of an available clanmember.

Anyway, i don't think CoH tried to fool mi5; maybe XB fooled CoH or himself - i dont know. CoH's intention was to have a proper war, not to use me to win. If another clanmember was ready / willing to play at the start of the game, i wouldn't have been allowed to play, neither was i willing to play then.

Also, AUT has nothing to do with this.

I am sure each single audience individual (player) would like to play in this game instead of you.

The reason we allowed Pete to play was that everyone was looking forward to playing the game. We had 6 players ready, all willing to play the first "real match" after the comeback of Mi5. Then CoH said they were only 5 and want to use Pete.
What could we have done? If we played 5on5 the game would just be another bad game and one of us had to sit out. If we let Pete play we know the game will be a lot harder but its still a decent game. So the vote was pretty clear and we allowed Pete to play.
However, I think everybody should understand we felt kinda fooled after the war seeing XB, Loco and IrishDrunk in IRC, one of them "busy" playing as merc, one "on his mobile" and ID wasn´t even mentioned (I dont know when he joined though).

Some words to everybody who claims that we are just moaning because we didnt win: If we were just playing to win we would have played 6vs5 and raped them, easy as that. If anyone acted unfair in this match it was definetely not us.
Noone of Mi5 will say that the game itself was bad or anything. It was a fantastic match without a doubt.
