Demo this month around E3 (21st May i think it is?) still. A month for the full release should be enough unless there is a big problem they've missed in their in-house testing.... and then theres always patches anyways :P

And EB say in that bit you quoted: "The publisher did not provide us with a specific date so this is our best estimate" - thats not a push back thats a failure in comunication.

Checked to see if anything had changed on official Sites:

Infogrames UK say 28/06/02

Infogrames Germany say 27/06/02

Infogrames USA say summer 2002

Official UT2003 Site says summer 2002

DE/Epic are apparently still working round the clock to get it ready for E3. And no other official dates have been given afaik.

The only basis for the reported delays some sites are reporting seem to be EB and co.

hopefully they'll reease the demo this month at least...

Infogrames has today announced that the Atari-branded Unreal Tournament 2003 will now be released on PC-CD ROM across Europe in July 2002. The successful release of Unreal Tournament 2003 is extremely important to Infogrames. The decision has therefore been made that Unreal Tournament 2003 will be released in July 2002 so that the title is of the highest standard when released. Infogrames, EPIC and Digital Extremes are fully aware of the anticipation for this product from the huge Unreal fan base and want to produce something that will blow fans and newcomers away. The Unreal brand is an enormous license and all relevant teams want to adhere to the quality that has been achieved in the past.
