I know one reason for skin to be yellow, but that seems highly unlikely

Unless they're a colour of bruises i've never seen before..

Just waiting and hobbling around now :/ waiting for the go ahead from the docs to start putting sum weight on it. Yer its fucking painfull, i gotta elevate it to get rid of the swelling on my foot, but everytime i get up, the blood rushing down my leg fucking kills!
