OpenGL.. how do i use it?

  • Hey - turns out IRC is out and something a little more modern has taken it's place... A little thing called Discord!

I did not that section is:
[Engine.Engine]
GameRenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
AudioDevice=Galaxy.GalaxyAudioSubsystem
NetworkDevice=IpDrv.TcpNetDriver
DemoRecordingDevice=Engine.DemoRecDriver
Console=UTMenu.UTConsole
Language=int
GameEngine=Engine.GameEngine
EditorEngine=Editor.EditorEngine
WindowedRenderDevice=SoftDrv.SoftwareRenderDevice
RenderDevice=GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice
DefaultGame=Botpack.DeathMatchPlus
DefaultServerGame=Botpack.DeathMatchPlus
ViewportManager=WinDrv.WindowsClient
Render=Render.Render
Input=Engine.Input
Canvas=Engine.Canvas
CdPath=D:
RunCount=340

What i did now is i ran my UT is save mode, and it does not crash anymore at closing. I also did some opengl settings for max performance on my graphicscard software. It runs now above 100 refreshrate and the only problem i have is my mouse speed seems to fast or to slow at sometimes.

If I wanna start openGL thingie I get this error:

does any1 knows what I did wrong :\

Have u reinstalled UT since using d3d?
I had kind of the same problem and i tried letting UT create a new user/unrealtournament.ini, but it still happened. Then i reinstalled UT completely and chose opengl from the start and it worked lurverly :)

oops that was for the first dude, i dunno wot is wrong with ur thing di-rect :)

Direct, seems like the OpenGL render is having problems setting the res. You dont have it set too high in your ini do you?
