I found some really funky settings for y'all to play with.

Please note:
I haven't tested any of this on UTPure Servers - so don't blame me if you get kicked because of it :x

Also - most if not all settings are NOT PERMANENT - so you will lose them when u restart ut. Because I'm a nice chap; i'll stick all of these sections into alias form so you can stick them on a keybind to execute each time ur in ut :) ... Watch this thread! :cool:

Ok here goes:

All commands must be entered into the UT console; while OFFLINE, unless otherwise stated...

Firstly, my favourite by far - changing the shock combo to make it look really spinky:


set ut_comboring skin tlthunder
set ut_ringexplosion4 skin umenu.bluebarinm
set shockbeam mesh pbolt
set shockbeam texture botpack.BoltCap.pEnd_a00


Also; weapon changes for flak, bio and pulse:

Flak Cannon:

set chunktrail texture utflare5

set utchunk2 texture ASMDAlt_a00
set utchunk3 texture ASMDAlt_a00

Bio Rifle:

You can also start to play with the draw scales of various weapons - here's an example for the shock rifle:

Probably the most useful command i have come across...
The ability to change the colour of TeamSay messages:
(values in RGB format - so you can play until you find something right for you!)


set teamsaymessageplus greencolor (g=255,r=255)
set teamsaymessageplus lightgreencolor (g=255,r=255)
set teamsaymessageplus cyancolor (g=0,r=255,b=0)

Greencolor = Name
Lightgreencolor = Text
CyanColor = Location Text

To stop the console from recording pickups, i.e. "You picked up a rocket pack." or something like that, you can do this:

set pickupmessageplus bisconsolemessage 0


To get rid of the underwater "haze" effect:

set waterzone viewfog (x=0,y=0,z=0)

Fun with textures :D

ok; you may wanna prebind this before you play so you can revert back to normal by hitting the minus key on the numpad:

set input GreyMinus lodbias 0 | set texture drawscale 1


now try the following (*IN GAME*)

lodbias X (where X is a value 0 to 10)

set texture drawscale X (where X is a value 1 to infinity; recommended max 1000)

The following commands get rid of the sparks that come out of the wall when you shoot it (with a minigun)

Here's one for you server admins - you can allow your spectators to travel through walls; a bit like on that shit game.. what's it called.. erm Half-Life. That's the one.

or as I have it...
