Please vote, the vote has no effect on a new map being introduced, simply if the map should be in PUG or not.

Will give it a week and see the responses and then decide what to do with it.

Eh, Bio is nice occasionally I think but I find the excessive spam to be crap because it makes me feel like I have skill when I get kills :(

Remove it and put in AS-Pornoland
 
the map is perhaps the most intense map in my opinion, yes its spammy, but your always in then action, on both sides, (O and D) after max 5 seconds after spawning anywhere on the map your already into the fight with people to shoot, that makes it a very enjoyable map for me.

Its also somehow very balenced and always manages to be close even if its a 5 min + maps. Unlike say golgotha where often a team will hold the hurons path, in bio most of the time on the second round the offence will get at least the shooting range if they don't win the map.

And I highly doubt that it could be fully defended all the time if it was ever introduced in the league, teamplay would increase for both sides and in a pug i've seen zyx and helios set a superb set "on the run" to get science, i dodge in it the moment it was set and got science in the air still... and it was all done less then 10 seconds after spawning... same goes for most objectives.

YES it is very spammy but NO it is not like guardia or normal astheno, because the last 2 cannot be assaulted on even teams, bio can period.

I still totally respect those who dislike the map and the spam, its your choice, but don't throw bs reasons saying its worse then guardia or astheno because its obviously not true.

and i know that doesn't carry a lot of weight around here, but the map has always been in #naat pugbot and will always be, same with vampire :rolleyes:

oh yeah and one of the proof that the map is intense, its one of the few maps where its very common to have people on offence with more frags then defenders :lol:

Wow... I've seen it being defended fulltime (10 mins) on the tunnels objective most of the times. UNLESS there was a lagger on offence (yes, you.) who hammerjumped trough the shock combo spam and to the objectives.

A team can hold the first part forever if they just spam combo all the time. Maybe one push forward to stop launchers, but that's it... and shooting range, the same counts there, spam the corridors and generally, if your team can't spam, you lose the map vs laggy hammerjumpers.


ps: Voted no. I could have more fun playing other maps which doesn't steal 20 mins of my time without me or the team accomplishing something. Tbh I'd rather play Guardia.

All those are out in the open and there's an amazing amount of shock spam there. It's a map which just has a ton of narrow areas and is more prone to spam than Christmas dinner in Kansas.

I don't think a new version would be bad, but the way it is isn't great. That's just my opinion though and the day you and I agree on maps we like... :P

Can't say I enjoyed it.
And look at the teams. Do my team usually spam shock combos? No, we first try with other weapons and push forward.
If this map would ever be introduced to the league (as it is atm), clans will soon adapt to the shock combo-spamming and hold the tunnels for fulldef.

There is a rumour that Snuggs is working with it.
If he changes it a bit and give it better spawns and less ammo and maybe widens some corridors like he did with Dungeon, I think it could be league-worthy.

But in its current state: get it the fuck away from PUG :P

Id like to say thats individual, I use Shock riffle almost as much as sniper but we alot more snipers/bullets in UTA(the maps) than Shock, And no all ppl dont want lockdown with 20938423908290352409857287234850723087rate minigun id be very happy for a test without lockdown and/or lowered rate of fire.
 
well map has some nice sides : the deus ex music :P

and some bad sides : the uber spam

guess ill have to play it some more to decide wether the nice music is worth the spam or not

why do I keep having to say the defence is not the only thing that will adapt......

for tunnels: if half the offence team starts getting on the top of the bridge with 100 hp (through a single hammer set) or with ±87 hp from a 2nd hammer fire, and dodge down at the yellow/black barrier and hammer, they get the objective on the run, and they stay less then 1 second on the ground, sure its possible to kill them.... but have 3 do it in a ±1 second interval and the obj is gone no matter how the D "adapted" to the situation.
And why would you dislike the idea that you have to hammer/launch to get an objective.... if everyone pushed low on siege (normal way, not taking teleport) theres no way the map could be assaulted and I don't see anyone whining about siege...

for science: the zyx helios set could be set between 2 combos of a person spamming combos right at the door... and its not as worse as just a door like in astheno where the D is well hidden, just get the offence to use sniper and gg standcomboers are dead and you get science in the air

shooting range: there IS an armor in your spawn (you have to hammer to get it...) use it.... go high, preferably with a set (a good clan on attack would do it), don't give D shockrifle and gg shooting range is gone...

for the end of the map the obj should be gone alot faster then in the pugs ive seen, nobody goes normal way! (the normal way is to get inside the structure and make a left, its the quickest path to the hole you need to shoot...

the map is not easy to assault, but with little tactics (self hammers some sets and attacking in groups as a team) the map is definitely assaultable like it is
I would compare it to ballistic in terms of the objectives feasability, only with about twice as much objectives and more spam, BUT more intense (aka always in the fight for 10 + minutes)
