bot messages

got bot to say on command fine...
but how the hell does one put up message for ppl entering room?
iv tried /msg chanserv set<channel> entrymsg Welcome but nothing happened, it does say however entrymessage changed,but i cant view it doh

Syntax: SET channel ENTRYMSG [message]
Sets the message which will be sent via /notice to users when they enter the channel. If no parameter is given, causes no message to be sent upon entering the channel.

Make sure you have a bot in your registered channel, and the above will work. To test it, type /hop in mIRC to part/join the channel. It should be sent as a notice too you.

Let me know what channel it is you are setting up.

still not workin sigh

Could it be because im using tracert ....
it does put message in when i enter the room,but sadly not for any one else
