Xp 64 bit????

Can anyone tell me if there are any advantages or pitfalls involved in 'upgrading' from windows Xp 32 bit to Xp 64 bit?


Obviously assuming 64 bit hardware is involved.

Benefit is that 64bit doesnt have a 4GB memory limit

Gives you a headache with drivers

There was and still is a lack of drivers for XP64 and it is hardly supported by manufacturers.
If you wanna have a 64bit OS, go with Vista. With it you'll have more driver support and - according to mym's medical skills - less headache.

SP1 coming out this month. some companys already got it though. might be better with some drivers then.

i only have problems with my sound card that isnt supported and my old tv card. else i like vista 64 so far.
