I saw a couple of episodes of this show on the TV at the time it was aired but never really got into it.

My mate came round with the DVDs a couple of weeks ago and we started watching it - and after the first couple of episodes (which seem a bit cheap, especially the battle scene in the first episode) it starts to get amaaaazing!

I'm sure lots of people will already have seen the whole thing and will think its really OLD of me to post this - but if you havent and if you have any interest in that era or just like sex and violence you'll love it :D

It's basically a great political drama, with plenty of tits, 2 guys going around kicking ass a la Liam Neeson in Taken with some great scenery and scope. The acting is mostly fantastic and the story just gets better and better.

I've been meaning to watch this series since it first came out. However, I just can't get around the fact that it was cancelled after Season 2 (I think it was s02, right?) and I just hate series that doesn't get a proper ending. Probably because I get so involved with the series, I get.. well, crazy. And to lose all of that abruptly because the show was cancelled? omdz, the horror!

Maxiz I think it ends well. the 3rd series was going to be purely set in Egypt which would possibly have been too long and it would have lead up to a 5th series with Jesus and in Israel apparently.

Sometimes its a good thing that series are not flogged for years and years, Blackadder being a good example

So you'd say the send it off in a proper way? Tieing up loose ends and all that? I just will not, cannot bare watching another series who ends without answering all of the questions :p:

Yup pretty much. There is one opening for a comeback, but it is dealt with with enough certainty to satisfy that its all tied up.

Watch it!!!!

Love the series...but once again! yawn, we have English actors as if they were on stage doing Shakespeare. Is this a convention that can't be altered? Well I guess it goes back to Golden Hollywood days.
