Points deducted for winning?

When you sign-up to the league your clan will be placed in the 'Holding Zone'. From here you must earn your place in the league. To do this you must do one of the following:

Defeat another clan in the holding zone. If you successfully defeat another clan in the holding zone you will enter the main division of the league with a score equal to that of the lowest clan.

Defeat a clan already in the main division of the league. If you successfully defeat a clan in the main division of the league, you will enter the division with an equal number of points as the clan you defeated.

If you fail to complete either of the above objectives after 4 matches then you will enter the main division with a score 10% lower than that of the lowest clan.

Does anybody ever read the rules?
