persisting disconnection problem

ever since the irc servers have been updated i get this error

[15:58:56] * [10053] Software caused connection abort

[15:58:56] * Disconnected

help pls, does anyone know what causes this?
 
You dont provide us with much information..
That could be anything from windows being dodgy, dodgy connection, dodgy local or remote router, or maybe even some dodgy soft/spyware
 
well thats the problem, i dont know anything about it.
it happens under all circumstances; before and after virusscans, before and after running ad-aware, before and after my last windows reinstall, before and after the update of mirc.
imo it cant be the modem, since the downloads with any programm, be it flashget or a ftp client or whatever, continue normally even when irc does this abort.
