New map (well kinda)

Maybe people remember Pinhead working on As-Hellraiser. I tried to work on the map around a year ago but i kept getting problems with crashes and stuff. Now after a year without doing anything (i worked a lot this year and had no time to work on the map) i resumed working on it and i think i can release the first beta.

Please try out the map and watch for bugs. I added a bit of botsuport so that you can find the way easier. I think the map could get a very nice map but ofcourse it needs more balancing. Hopefully i managed to get rid of the bugs and can now start on finetuning.

Btw the map is 80% pinhead's work i did mostly a lot of fixes and stuff

in the download i only get the .unr

:edit: k np its because my UT isnt installed properly lol just a dragged folder (aka .unr is map file ^^)

Few parts look a little big to me (ending in particular) but it might play well 6v6 anyway. Looks like a very promising map imo and I like it a lot - hopefully we can test this in pug asap :)

I had a couple of run throughs and this is the only thing I noticed bug-wise:

Ending is build to get a lot of launches, Siege is a popular map because of the launchpos. Well now i wanted to add that here too,

The ledges left and right are easy to walk over so the end part can be mass assaulted. Also it's not to hard to launch people on the roof as there is an rocket and even if people fail to reach the roof they have to doors leading just under the top of the tower.

About the bug. Going to fix that now :)

Many misaligned brushes and textures :(
Also it's not good to rotate upscaled brushes (the crosses), they get all weird. You should just create new bigger ones.

O well, I really shouldn't criticize this anyway since I gave up on it ...... :rolleyes:

i think you are just a much better mapper then i am ;)

I gradualy evolved my mapping during progress and i can't be arsed to do it all over. and for the playabilety it doesn't effect much right:D
