Avg free Vs Rising free

memory usage

Avg 36712 k

Rising 16453 k

Both use 5 Processses

I scanned pc both found same keygens and scripts although avg had to list every cookie as well

Avg cannot schedule scans

rising can schedule daily or weekly scans at times you set ie overnight

and dosent seem as bloated as avg 8 free

userbility i prefer the looks and how rising is easy to configure

Is it possible to do remote scans on other PCs in teh network?
edit:
to clearify: i mount a share or disk as a network drive and scan it.

teh free version of Avira doesnt allow me to do that

if it aint on a tab u cant find it :P

tested rising antivirus. imho the best freeware av atm.
it doesnt even looks good witht aht black skin, it provide also uncountable amount of features.

Has anyone actually done a proper test with say, 100 or more viruses, against AVG, kaspersky, etc?

Cos while it may look nicer, and be less resource hungry, if it aint picking up real viruses its useless :S

JDiskReport.
