No ones mentioned it yet, but has anyone tried insta AS in 2004? is it playable? /me looks at fraghub staff
 
yeah i would be up for that :) 2k4 insta is very nice in dm with the extra move iam sure as would be good too. though car escort type maps would be a nono as cars could be taken out in 1 shot

It would play badly insta is alot easier to aim/kill with in 2k4 assault maps are huge and u would just end up being killed over and over and over by people camping in millions of different locations + dunno how insta rifle would react with vehicles/destroyable objectives.
 
Before starting iAS I would set up a ladder with iCTF or iTDM/DM, I think more clans would be interested in it.
Though some people also might want to play iAS

the assault maps that excist atm simply won't work with ias. long distances to run -> defenders get to spawn several times before the attackers reach objectives... and with the timed objectives... go figure, how long can one survive on a switch in ias :o

could be a problem but golgotha and ballistic where a long walk 2 lets first concentrate on the normal leuge :thumb: btw good 2 see you again unseen

yeah that's probably a big problem, you will never get such an objective , except your team is good enough to shoot
down every defender
 
well but we need to make them before a ladder starts ;)
I think starting with As and ONS first is ok
btw insta ONS is possible as there already exists a mutator :)

i think ur forgetting that u have an insta rifle on attack as well as defence un m8 ;) :cow:
kill them before they kill you and u can stay o switch as long as you want.

So what if all the maps arent completed every time
So what if map wins are decided by how quickly only 1 objective is done

Surely u could reduce map time and then ppl wouldnt get bored, but a good team would still have time to finish the map?

As-Caves would be perfect for ias imo.

yeh, i usually manage killing all defenders 3-4x each attackwave, getting a few ultras and a rampage :p: :rolleyes:
 
I also reckon ictf is better approach until ready to add iAS ;) (ictf no trans though) :p translocaters are for girly/boys lol :footy:
