IRC on Android?

Or is there a specific reason why you are asking about Android 1.6 and IRC

I haven't tried anything frankly, i got this mobile since yesterday and im still figuring things out so any suggestions which applications use are appreciated

I use FireIRC on my android phone. Wouldnt know what version im on though, or if it even makes a difference. Just downloaded it for free from the market and works fine for me

I've started using ZNC IRC bouncer to connect me to IRC, and then my phone app to connect to my IRC bouncer, which replays the last 10 channel messages.

That way I don't show as connecting/disconnecting the server or joining/parting the channels everytime I load IRC on my phone.

Also got push notifications too!
