A Brief History of =)Ai(=

Well it all began about seven months ago....
A game that I am afraid to say I have never purchased, Unreal tournament Began to take a hold of my Life !! Gareth who had bought the game along with his PC after playing the demo constantly leant it to me... and I discovered for the first time the beauty of Crackz LOL
The turning point came when after reciveing a £13 phone bill for next to no Online time and hearing about BT's new deal... I signed up straight away... Now I could be on for as long I as I wanted (Off peak) without worring abut the cost. I started to play More and MORE
CTF was my first love, but it soon got boring and with maps dragging on for ages I started to play Assault on the side. The funny thing is I never would have kept it up if is wasn't for Mazon I used to just play that one map. My Name at the time was Timmy. I even found a sever that just played it over and over There I met Neo for the first time... I think he complained about the map not changing LOL I used to moan at him for not having an original name "Neo, Not another fucking one ??".... "Dude get a new name" LMAO Finally he changed it to Penfold UK used to pop up from time to time too. Never really said much to him though. Then one day the tragic thing happened Supernet collapsed and I was left to play the full rotation of Assault maps on other severs 
But slowly I began to grow more fond of them and I learnt the tricks of each...
Date 8th June: I had been following Killor_-=]NRG[=- For a few weeks and been trying to learn everything that he did.. Eventually he asked me if I wanted a trial for NRG... Phear even showed up. They offered me the trial. Problem was I was in the middle of my A-levels I had a Chemistry Exam in 4 days. I had no time to play games or to have a trail. Truth is though is that I did play a bit but I went into hiding until my Exams were over. Having just watched the movie American Pie I took on the name Stiffler.
Then the strangest thing happened me and gareth were playing together as we often did... And we ended up alone with Neo and UK... The map was HiSpeed and with us just giving up playing to chat, I was on the roof of Car 3 if I remember correctly. Neo said we should make a Clan....
I guess the rest is History ??
I Think the official start of Ai was June 10th (How do I know this?) Well apart from the exams that dade was my 18th birthday. Gareth my Familly and I went to a restarant for a familly thing... While eyeing up the sexy waiteress' Gareth and I discussed the name for our Clan. Then out of his mouth it popped "How about Ai ?" This was after many many other ideas BTW. I liked it and we asked Uk and Neo, neither seemed too keen but we stuck with it. After a couple of mins messing around with [ ] - = ( ) { } ~ # @ '^ * < > / \ | I finally threw together =)Ai(= and that was it we were a Clan and we were official
With strict orders to everyone (All 4 of us) To grab anybody not in a clan who was good ! we went out into the Publics... Within a couple of weeks we had a team of 8

And we signed up to Utassault.net and became registered.
McDungeon left almost imediately though... Never to be seen again !!
=)Ai(= Had begun......... Although Neo always did insist that the =)Ai(= looked better at the start LOL
Clan match History
Our Very first match was a friendly V's Tow... I remember it well... We lost terribly it was on sever 2 and it was impossible to do anything, They all out pinged us by 100's and I think we won 2 maps in total !
We played two real clan matches after this... ADC (9-3) and FJS (8-6)
LOL the rematch with TOW was a true clan match and was alot more interesting
with TOW puting out :

Anyhow after 6 months of dedication to the Game I think it is time to call it a day. With me completely out of action for the next 3 months again, I fear that the League will I have all but died by the time I return. Also the frustration of not being able to play yet staying involved drove me up the wall last time...
I am not going to be able to play UT online again from Satarday 13th so you have probably played with me for the last time....
I hearby hand in my full resignation from =)Ai(= and UT...
That is it I am out of here, Gone, Finito, left, dissappeared, done with Clans forever....
Your never gonna see the Stiffler Play again, although I may again in the future as someone else (If i get a chance)!!
Your all great Fellows and I have enjoyed playing by your sides since the beginning. It has been nothing but FUN ! That is all this has ever been for me, don't get me wrong I hate loosing but it ain't the end of the world. And I am sorry to any of you who have been let down by my attitude that I have taken in running this.
Uk m8 you have done a great job of holding this all together, I hope that you will continue to do so in the future. Apoc dude those tactics you have knocked together are nothing less than stunning, and if you all decide to take the serious path I think that that is the best start that could have been made. You just have to finish the rest of them and make sure everyone puts them into action. BTW Ace I saw what you said about Ping and I have the lowest ping I have ever seen from any 56k User, average 170 (Dropping to a low of 140 !!). That is bloody good and I recon that I play just fine thanks !
