Last few weeks if i wanted to d/l something, my download speed reduces to 0 kb/sec in a few seconds.
Which site i d/l from makes no sense,
it always sucks.
I tried Go Zilla, Get Right, but that also didn't work

Anybody got any idea?
I'm on a netwerk, and the other computers d/l with normal speed, same ISP

Plz HELP

Re: Download Speed

Heb ik een paar maanden geleden ook gehad, Na een tijd weerd het weer normaal toen Chello hun servers hadden ge-upgrade, je ISP heeft waarschijnlijk erg veel clients,

Download manager..

As for download managers - JetCar is best =)
www.amazesoft.com
Many of other managers are spyware, I personally do not like it. Not to say that JetCar (FlashGet now) - is very handy and easy to use. Stabile too.

As for connection dropping down? Could be many reasons - @#%$ routers, @#%$ ISP - nothing could be done about it except changing them.. Also tackling with MTU settings could help.. Dunno =)

Re: Download manager..

As well as MaxMSS and Rcvwindow strings in ur registry :D

Re: Download manager..

yup =) Wanted to write about it, but usually all MTU tweakers have possibilities to change all those TTL Blackhole detection etc etc already. And I am 99% sure Demon will use them =) So he will be able to figure out him self =)

Re: Download manager..

hehehe =) Optimal maximum transfer unit can be tuned by simple ping command =) If anyone interested I can post simple instructions =)

Re: Download manager..

manual way is best imho too =) Also nice to track all changes in reg. done (I mean not only MTU, but everything) - and save it for later reference.. Saves plenty of time on reinstall =)
